" Message for the Week"

MellowYellowBadge

( October 10 - 16, 2010 )

 BE FREE, STAY FREE!"

Satan's children deceives many by saying, "I am a Christian or I know God or I love God." I hear from many brokenhearted Christians how they thought that they were in a relationship with another Christian, just to find out that the other person was by no means a Christian and was involved in doing things that Christians should never do! We are warned in the Scriptures in GALATIANS 2:4, “Because some false brothers had infiltrated our ranks to spy on the freedom we have in Christ Jesus and to make us slaves.” This is why it pays to be obedient to God's Word and it pays even more if you read the Word and write it upon your heart and live with it because in His Word tells us how to know the difference between those who are real and those who are NOT! Pray for them, love them, but DO NOT FALL IN LOVE WITH THEM!

VERSE FOR THE WEEK: (October First week)

1 JOHN 2:15 (KJV)

Love not the world neither the things that are in the world. If any man loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

WHAT IS GOD SAYING?
~~~
Although we have to live in this world, we do not have to be of this world. Our morals, values, and principles come from our Holy Father, and we are to be holy just like Him. If you are in love with this world (culture), then you are inclined to its passions and desires, which is governed by its Father, Satan. We cannot serve and please two masters, it is either God or Satan!
Weekly Sharing of God's Word: (October First Week)
GALATIANS 4- 6
Paul explains that we are no longer slaves to the law but adopted sons and daughters living under grace through Jesus Christ. He also gives examples of the fruits of the Holy Spirit which is the Christian character of ALL TRUE children of God as opposed to those who demonstrate the works of the flesh and none of them shall inherit the kingdom of God. Lastly Paul reminds us to uplift and encourage and even admonish but to do all in the spirit of meekness for what we sow is what we shall reap and not to grow weary because in due season we shall reap our reward.
WHAT IS GOD SAYING TO US?
~~~

No good works which we do will get us into heaven it is only by Gods goodness and grace through Jesus and we have to allow the Holy Spirit to fill us  and lead us as far as living for God that through our own effort we will fail. Lastly Paul states that with each other we are not to judge but to love and to do all in humbleness.

Midweek Blues:" PPATW LOGO"

GALATIANS 1- 3

Peter admonished the Galatians to be careful and not to listen to anyone who is not preaching the TRUE gospel of Jesus Christ. He made it clear that it is by faith in Christ that they are justified and not  by their works of the law (God's commandments). Paul also shares in Galatians 2:20 that we are to surrender to Christ and to live by faith, "I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I love in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me." Finally Paul states that they are to live by faith, not by the law for Christ fulfilled the law, "So the law was put in charge to lead us to Christ that we might be justified by faith. Now that faith has come, we are no longer under the supervision of the law" Galatians 3:24-25.

WHAT IS GOD SAYING TO US?
~~~
We too need to read the Word to know the true gospel of Christ so that we will know who is preaching and or teaching the truth according to God's word. We must also not fall into the trap of trying to please God solely by our works. We must crucify the self and allow Christ to live in us to teach us how to live by faith.
PSALM 30:5 (NIV)
 For His anger lasts only for a moment, but His favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may remain for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.
 In comparison, God’s anger lasts only for a second, but His blessings and love for you and me never run out! God gets angry because of the things we do that hurt Him and our fellowship with Him however He is gracious to ALL and His mercy endures forever. There may be crying in the night but joy comes in the morning and with God, there is always a brand new day to look forward to!
TODAY'S SHARING OF GOD'S WORD
GALATIANS 1 THRU 3
Peter is letting the Galatians know to be careful and not to listen to anyone who is not preaching the TRUE gospel of Jesus Christ. He also mentions that they are not justified by their works of the law (God's commandments) but by their faith in Christ. Paul also states for we are to surrender to Christ to live by faith in one of my favorite verses Gal 2:20 (I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I love in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.) Finally Paul states that they are to live by faith not by the law Christ fulfilled the law. Gal 3:24-25 (So the law was put in charge to lead us to Christ that we might be justified by faith. Now that faith has come, we are no longer under the supervision of the law.)
